Switzerland, a synthetic overview for beginners
• Traditional political stability with a strong and steady currency.
• Excellent trade relations with the European Union, the major commercial partner.
• Generally well-trained and skilled, hard-working labour force.
• Practically no strikes.
• A well developed banking system, comprising several swiss and universal banks, including private banks mainly concentrated in Geneva and geared to the administration of assets of national and foreign customers. Subsidiaries and/or representatives of most major foreign banks in Zurich, Geneva or Lugano. Bank accounts can be kept in Swiss francs, and/or in any other major currency.
